Garden and planting design
I can create bespoke climate resilient planting plans, tailored to your needs and changing weather events - layering textures, heights and bloom times so that your garden offers year round interest.
My client proposal will include:
Site evaluation - assessing your garden’s light and soil type - to ensure the best possible planting selection
Creation of a plant palette - based on your colour preferences, with a mood board to enable you to visualise the overall theme
Planting plan - development of a layout plan, showing you how colours, textures and heights will be enhanced, with succession planting throughout the year
Plant sourcing - I use local wholesalers and nurseries, providing you with an cost estimate in advance of the work.
Advice on plant health
Pests and plant diseases can be a frustration but I can give guidance on plant health care and resolve common issues using organic, eco-friendly products and methods - protecting your plants without harming your wildlife visitors or pollinators.
Seasonal one-off or regular garden care and maintenance
Seasonal pruning - keep your garden framework and hedges in place to ensure that your plants maintain their health and vigour.
Soil enrichment - incorporating nutrient rich organic compost to boost soil structure and allow it to retain water and drain effectively when needed
Advising and supplying plants that are best suited to your garden soil, light levels and drainage - building a robust and low maintenance garden
